Apply for the 2024 Scholarship

 

For students at a 4-year college or university, the amount awarded is $2,000. For students at a 2-year college or university, we award $1,000. We have 2 scholarships available in each category in 2021.

Eligibility

We're currently accepting applications for the fall 2021 scholarship. We welcome applications from the following:

  • High school seniors in Virginia who will attend a public college or university in Virginia in the fall

  • Students who are currently attending a public college or university in Virginia

All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States and must come from a low-income household (an annual household income of <$40,000 for a family of 3 or <$50,000 for a family of 4).

 

Your application requires the following documents:

  • Completed application form - fill out the electronic version below or download and print a PDF version

  • Most recent transcript from your high school, college, or university

  • Two recommendation letters from a school counselor and/or teacher

  • A one-page essay describing your community service and educational goals

2024 Scholarship Online Application Form

Fill out the below form to apply for the 2024 San Yeh Charity Foundation Scholarship. In addition, please submit your transcript and the two required recommendation letters to sanyehcharity@gmail.com, and make sure the email’s subject line includes your full name. All applications and required documents must be completed and submitted by 11:59 PM ET on July 1, 2024 for consideration.
